    Slow Life (by Daniel Stoupin)

"Slow" marine animals show their secret life under high magnification. Corals and sponges are very mobile creatures, but their motion is only detectable at different time scales compared to ours and requires time lapses to be seen. These animals build coral reefs and play crucial roles in the biosphere, yet we know almost nothing about their daily lives.

    thebeldam’s questions:

    1. Would you ever consider moving out of the country you currently reside in?Yes: the Earth is my home.  Actually, I´ve already moved from my home country to my present one.

    2. What is your favorite hobby and why? Several, but nothing beats reading -besides the obvious joy and fun of reading itself, I´ve learned a lot in ways that have changed my view of the world and my habits, making me freer and more conscious.
    3. What are your goals for the future? Being freer and more conscious.
    4. What is your favorite month? Any in summer because of the sun, but I appreciate and enjoy ALL seasons (I´d be unfair if I didn´t  ;-) )
    5. Do you believe in something spiritual (higher power)? Yes. Hard to explain briefly, but it´s something along the lines of an all-pervading consciousness who manifests itself through information, experiences itself through it, and whose goal is, apparently, to reduce entropy and become more aware -love seems to be a keyword in the process.
    6. Best concert you’ve attended.  It´s difficult to remember aaaaall the concerts I´ve attended (I´m not a kid), but I guess the most enjoyed ones were the South American rock festivals in my teens.
    7.  One random fact about yourself. I drink two litres of “mate” (yerba mate) daily -at least.
    8. What is your favorite time of day?Any time can be glorious in the right mindset, but I seem to be more energetic in the morning.
    9. Describe the last time you ate something really delicious.Today´s bean spaghetti with pesto sauce.
    10. With which fictional character do you identify yourself the most? Neo, from the Matrix. That´s “the one”!
    11. When do you feel the best about yourself? Now. Any now.

    My questions to you:

    1. What makes a moment of bliss or joy in your life?
    2. What is your biggest dream?
    3. In what ways do you prefer to express your creativity?
    4. What do you do to feel better/cheer yourself up if/when you´re down?
    5. What book/s (if any) have influenced you to the point of changing your worldview?
    6. An improvement you´d like to see in the world.
    7. A change you´d like to see in yourself.
    8. What would make a perfect vacation/holiday?
    9. What is your favourite smell?
    10. Do you have a special movie (or movies) that you´d definitely recommend?
    11. If you were an animal, which one would you be and why?

Nunca nacimos, nunca moriremos.

    Jack Kerouak

I have lots of things to teach you now, in case we ever meet, concerning the message that was transmitted to me under a pine tree on a cold winter day. It said that Nothing Ever Happened, so don’t worry. It’s all like a dream. Everything is ecstasy, inside. We just don’t know it because of our thinking-minds. But in our true blissful essence of mind is known that everything is alright forever and forever and forever.
Close your eyes, let your hands and nerve-ends drop, stop breathing for 3 seconds, listen to the silence inside the illusion of the world, and you will remember the lesson you forgot, It is all one vast awakened thing. I call it the golden eternity.
We were never really born, we will never really die. It has nothing to do with the imaginary idea of a personal self, other selves, many selves everywhere: Self is only an idea, a mortal idea.
I know this from staring at mountains months on end. They never show any expression, they are like empty space, but the emptiness of space will never crumble away because it was never born.”

    Jack Kerouac

  8. "Without forgiveness life is governed by the repetition compulsion, by an endless cycle of resentment and retaliation."

    Roberto Assagioli

  12.  ”When we begin to observe ourselves sincerely our whole fate begins to change. But this means noticing, over a long period, the way we talk, the way we think, the criticisms we make, the resentment of what is said to us, the way we react to others, the opinions from which we argue, the way we are flattered, how we judge others, our vanity, cruelty, moods, emotions. Unless we detach ourselves from these things, we remain mechanical. We have to have an observing part and an observed part. When the observing I is established in us, it is from this I that everything else follows. Small to begin with, it is like a window to let in the light.”

    Maurice Nicoll
